What "Know Your Customer" means

Know Your Customer (KYC) is the standard process by which a financial service confirms that a client is a real, identifiable person, and that the information provided at registration is accurate.

In reality, KYC at Fortune Gainhol involves us gathering and verifying a limited range of essential information about you: your complete legal name, your birth date, your nation of residence, your communication method and the payment option you plan to employ. We cross-reference the information you entered in the registration form against the information contained in the documents you submit.

What we do not do

We will not request your internet banking credentials, your complete card security code, or device access permissions. Our staff will never solicit these items. Any communication requesting them does not originate from us and should be reported via the complaint system.

Your side

Your obligations

  • Supply truthful, current and thorough facts, and maintain their accuracy.
  • Use only your own funds and your own payment instruments - never someone else's.
  • Maintain only one account and safeguard your login information.
  • Respond to document requests within the timeframe stated in the request.
  • Notify us without delay if your home country, registered name or funding source changes.
  • Report any suspected unauthorised access to your account immediately.

Submitting falsified or altered documents is a serious matter. It leads to closure of the account and, where applicable law requires, notification of the competent authority.

Timing

How long a check takes

Most complete submissions are reviewed within a few hours to a couple of business days. Files that need a second look, a translation or an additional document can take longer.

Examination duration varies based on submission volume, file quality and whether extra checks are initiated. The timeframe applicable to your account, along with the current status of all submitted items, is visible in your account dashboard - use this official timeline as your reference, disregarding any other figures.

  • Clear, complete, unedited uploads are reviewed fastest.
  • Requests submitted outside business hours are queued for the next working day.
  • Enhanced review, where required, adds time and is communicated to you.
Rationale

Why verification is required

  1. 01

    Legal obligation

Services that hold or transmit client funds are generally required to identify their clients before providing the service. This is not optional and applies to every account without exception.

  2. 02

    Protecting your money

Identity confirmation links an account to a sole verified individual. It significantly reduces the danger of unauthorized account access, and it ensures refunds can only go to a payment method that has been verified as yours.

  3. 03

    Keeping the platform clean

Screening keeps sanctioned parties and anonymous shell activity off the platform, which protects every other client using it.

  4. 04

    Faster payouts later

An account verified up front does not have to stop for checks at withdrawal time, which is when delays are least welcome.

Documents

Which documents are accepted

We ask for up to three categories of document. Files should be colour images or PDFs, fully in frame, unedited, with all four corners and all text legible.

1. Identity document

An official identity document featuring your image, complete name, birth date, identification number and validity period. Standard options include a travel document, a state-issued ID card, or a driver's license provided it serves as a photographic ID. The document must remain valid and within its expiration timeframe.

2. Proof of address

A current document, typically released within recent months, displaying your name and home address matching your registered account details. Standard documents include an energy bill, a financial institution statement, a regional or administrative notice, or a formal communication from a government body. Postal addresses and residences of third parties cannot be used.

3. Proof of payment method

Proof of ownership of the payment source. For a credit or debit card, this typically means a photo displaying your name, the initial six and concluding four digits and the validity period, while obscuring the remaining digits and the verification code.

For a bank account transfer, this means a record or verification listing your name with the account number. For a digital payment service, a photo of your user account showing your name and the service account number.

Formats and file size

File size restrictions, usable formats and any supplementary verification needs are displayed in your account's verification section. Files in languages differing from your account's language might need certified interpretation; the verification department will notify you if necessary.

Process

The verification steps

  1. 01

    Register

Create the account with your real legal name, date of birth, country of residence, email and phone number. Details that do not match your documents are the most common cause of delay.

  2. 02

    Confirm contact details

Confirm your email address and, where requested, your phone number. This proves the contact channels belong to you.

  3. 03

    Upload your identity document

Upload the pages that carry your photograph and personal data. Some checks include a short liveness or selfie step to confirm the document belongs to the person holding it.

  4. 04

    Upload proof of address

Upload a recent qualifying document in your name at the address on file.

  5. 05

    Confirm the payment method

Provide proof of the instrument you will use to fund and to receive withdrawals.

  6. 06

    Screening and review

Our compliance team reviews the file, runs the required sanctions and risk screening, and either approves the account or asks for a correction.

  7. 07

    Confirmation

You receive a notification once the account status changes. The current status is always visible in the verification area of your account.

Ongoing controls

Ongoing transaction monitoring

Verification is not a one-time event. Accounts and transactions are monitored for as long as the relationship lasts.

What is monitored

Money flow patterns, variations in payment methods, modifications to your location or communication information, behavior inconsistent with your initial registration particulars, and any activity identified by our monitoring systems.

What can happen as a result

  • An appeal for updated documentation or a description regarding the fund's origin.
  • A momentary suspension of a particular transaction undergoing assessment.
  • Adjustment of the limits published in your account.
  • Restriction or closure of the account where the law requires it.

Records

Personal identification materials and payment activity are kept for the span mandated by relevant regulations following account closure, and are managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Certain legal frameworks restrict us from disclosing to a customer that a notification has been filed.

Troubleshooting

Why a check can be rejected

A denial typically indicates a file concern, not a personal evaluation. Typically, you can simply resubmit and receive approval on your subsequent try.

Definition

What "anti-money laundering" means

Anti-money laundering (AML) is the set of internal controls a financial service uses to prevent its platform from being used to move the proceeds of crime, to finance illegal activity, or to disguise the true origin of funds.

AML controls are broader than a one-off identity check. They cover risk classification of new accounts, sanctions and politically-exposed-person screening, limits on unusual funding patterns, record keeping, internal escalation of suspicious activity and, where the applicable law requires it, reporting to the competent authority.

Where AML rules and a client instruction conflict, the AML rules take priority. That can mean a delayed transaction, a request for additional documents, or a restricted account until the matter is resolved.

Support

Where to ask questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to know the exact status of your own verification, ask us before uploading again.

Who reviews my documents?

A trained compliance reviewer. Files are stored on restricted systems, and access is limited to staff who need it for the check.

Can I start before I am verified?

You can register and explore the account, but funding, trading and withdrawals depend on the verification status published in your account.

Do I have to verify again later?

It is plausible. Records become outdated, residential information shifts and periodic document renewal forms a standard component of financial crime prevention. We shall reach out if a renewal is warranted.

How do I contact the compliance team?

Use the contact route on our contact page and mention "KYC" or "verification" in your message, together with the email address on your account. Please do not send document images by unsecured channels - upload them in the account area instead.

Licenses & regulatory information

Before you upload

Get verified once, cleanly

Most hold-ups result from three primary factors: an unclear image, an outdated residence document, and a funding method belonging to another person. Correcting these typically results in first-time clearance for the majority of reviews.

Need help with a document?

Our help desk can identify which document failed verification and provide the specific reason.

  • Review your account's verification section before proceeding.
  • Then contact support with your registered email address.
